A project of Crestone Peak Community Housing

Our Mission
To develop quality housing opportunities in an environmentally responsible manner for economically diverse people within Saguache County; to promote the development of economic opportunities for such people, and to serve as a model in designing and financing affordable housing in rural areas.
Our Vision
CPCH uplifts the lives of Saguache County residents through affordable housing and increased economic opportunities.
Crestone Peak Community Housing
CPCH is a Colorado 501(c)3 non-profit, founded in 1994, and focused on affordable housing. Over the years, CPCH boards have addressed this mission in a variety of ways. Initially, land in the Baca Grande subdivision outside of Crestone was inexpensive, and landowners who wanted to divest themselves of parcels donated them to CPCH, who worked with low-income buyers to build homes.
As land values increased and donated land was not available, the board looked for other ways to provide affordable housing. In 2018, the team working on Living Wisdom Village joined forces with CPCH; LWV was completed in 2025. Going forward, CPCH will continue to address affordable housing and economic development opportunities for Saguache County residents.
